Also can someone please explain to me why the PLEX prices are going up so fast? I thought they would stay at around 300m or less, because it makes sense that a 30day subscription would cost half of what a 60day subscription does, but it's obvious I was dead wrong. I understand the reason why this is happening is because some very wealthy folks buy out as many PLEXes as they can and then sit on them until they can resell them for much higher. Since so many PLEXes are bought out, there is much less supply and same or more demand which in turn brings prices up. Am I understanding this correctly, or am I wrong again?
Now some of my thoughts: (don't bash me for this, this is is purely IMO)
If what I mention above is the case, why is CCP not increasing the supply to lower the prices? I know someone will come in and tell me that if this were to happen prices should be lowered on all other "items" as well... But a PLEX is not just some item on the market, it's "special", and I thought CCP would "single it out" in some way as such, instead of letting merchants manipulate the price on it any way they like... After all, it's not very "nice" to the player community to let this continue, because wealthy folks will ALWAYS be able to buy more PLEXes than anyone else - this is perfectly fine as far as the ships and items go, but when it comes to a monthly subscription, everyone should have an equal opportunity IMHO. I think this is a very serious issue especially in light of recent events regarding POS exploitation. I wonder by how many dozens months were some people able to extend their subscription with all that "fake" money...
On the other hand, there is just no way to make this right! If prices on PLEXes were to be fixed, it wouldn't be fair to those who pay for their subscription with money, since for some, making 300m in game is a lot easier than making $15 in RL. Either way, it looks to me like we have a problem here... or do we?
